Mifiel

Mifiel is the only service in Mexico that allows users to sign legal documents online. Mifiel uses blockchain technology combined with the FIEL (advanced electronic signature) to obtain the same legal binding as a file signed with an autograph signature. During my time with Mifiel we optimized the product’s flows, such as the document signing flow, as well as implementing new features such as bulk signature, signed document sharing, promissory notes, and more. Some of the main problems we faced designing the product stemmed from our data which suggested that the people using Mifiel weren’t very tech savvy or were afraid of using their advanced electronic signature due to its ties to the SAT (Mexico’s IRS). For these reasons, Mifiel invests a lot of resources educating direct and indirect users about the FIEL’s potential and proper use within the product to reduce the resistance within the Mexican community due to a combination of mistrust of the SAT, to which the FIEL is affiliated, and the overall technological gap that companies operating in Mexico face. In addition to these, technical difficulties within the tasks flows had contributed to preventing early adopters from entrusting the platform with their sensitive information and inhibited the users from trusting the entire process. Go to project

Volabit

Volabit was the first Bitcoin service to launch in Mexico. Volabit offers an easy way to buy, sell, and use Bitcoins from any device in a couple of simple steps. During this project, I worked closely with the COO and development team to ensure feasibility. We needed to update and redesign their product while not straying too far from their previous design and flows, for two main reasons: First of all, Volabit wanted their customers to have a very small learning curve from the previous version, and second of all, Volabit didn’t want a complete redesign that changed their database design or the product structure, which would increase the number of resources needed for implementation. Our main goals were to accommodate the new cryptocurrencies that they plan to make available on their site and to reflect Volabit’s growth from a small garage-based startup to a more established, mature and serious brand. The main feature of our redesign is the user’s portfolio dashboard. As UX/Visual designer, I was involved in the process from wireframing through visual design, implementation, launch, and post-launch while in constant communication with the COO and the development team. The Powers

My goal with The Powers was to create a story-game platform that targets primarily boys to invite and include them in the gender-equality conversation. Most gender equality efforts these days are designed to empower girls and women therefore, we can find numerous resources such as websites, associations, apps and children’s stories that aim to empower us as women. However, it is actually difficult to find stories with content that reminds men and boys that they also need to share the burden of embracing diverse gender roles. My story takes place in a fictional wizarding society with rigid ideals about the roles that men and women can play. The players can choose to start playing as a male or female character, but either way, they must make choices to break the fictional society’s rigid gender rules in order to win the game. FIRMSPACE

Firmspace is a startup that offers luxury co-working suites for established professionals with a flagship location in Downtown Austin, TX and a brand new location in Denver, CO. Other locations such as Houston and Atlanta are planned to open in the near feature.

Firmspace’s goal is to provide self-service offices that run with the help of its custom app. Within the app, users (members) have access to manage every aspect of their offices, from paying bills and managing accounts to booking conference rooms, scheduling visitors, networking and more. Firmspace needs a scalable solution that permits their members to be totally self-sufficient in every established or upcoming location. In my role as UX designer, I collaborated with the CEO, CTO and development team to re-design a user-centered product. We identified the app’s areas of opportunity, and developed an immersive experience for our users. Go to project
